What does this tool do?
Inspect a URL or pathname's segments, count, final filename and extension locally without a request. Inputs: URL or pathname. Outputs: Pathname, Path segments, Segment count, Filename, Extension.
How to use it?
Enter url or pathname, then choose “Analyze”. Copy copies the displayed result or the labeled example/decoded value. Clear removes inputs and results and restores initial options.
Processing is local. Entered URLs are data: they are not visited, uploaded, logged or placed in the route. Generated markup is inert text. Reference lookups use bundled data, and previews are illustrative rather than guaranteed platform output.
Only the final non-directory segment supplies a filename/extension; extensionless names and dotfiles have no inferred extension. No filesystem inspection.
