What does this tool do?
Look up an HTML entity, Unicode character or code point and return its character, named and numeric forms locally. Inputs: Entity name, character, or code point. Outputs: Character, Named entity, Decimal entity, Hexadecimal entity.
How to use it?
Enter entity name, character, or code point, then choose “Lookup”. Copy copies the displayed result or the labeled example/decoded value. Clear removes inputs and results and restores initial options.
Processing is local. Entered URLs are data: they are not visited, uploaded, logged or placed in the route. Generated markup is inert text. Reference lookups use bundled data, and previews are illustrative rather than guaranteed platform output.
Uses bundled HTML entity data. Unicode scalars and multi-code-point named entities are supported; numeric forms are returned when no named form exists. No HTML is executed.
